Katherine & Levi got married at Stone Crest Venue in McKinney, TX on a beautiful sunny day in October! It was my first event at this venue, and I hope that I get to do even more there next year!
When I first met Katherine & Levi at a coffee house in Dallas Texas, I immediately was drawn to how a great match they were for each other. It was easy to see how they balanced each other out, and from our conversation, I knew we would get along & was so excited when they decided to move forward with us for their big day.
When it came to her wedding design, Katherine wanted her wedding to feel romantic, moody & organic. As a result, we decided on a mauve, green, & black color scheme, which helped balance the three aesthetics.
Stone Crest Venue Wedding - Ceremony
Katherine & Levi’s ceremony was held at Stone Crest Venue’s large outdoor ceremony space under a tall wood pavilion with 170 of their family & friends. The pavilion was filled with lush white, pink, black & mauve florals that were installed in an asymmetrical design at the corner & base of the structure. The bridesmaids wore long dusty rose dresses and held lush & organic floral bouquets filled with mauve & white florals, while the groomsmen wore navy suits & brown shoes.
After the ceremony, as the couple took pictures with their families, the guests relaxed at Stone Crest Venue’s fire pit & covered patio for cocktail hour where they found their tables at the custom black seating chart with hand-torn escort cards and copper wax seals.
Stone Crest Venue Wedding - Reception
As guests entered the reception, they found their seat in Stone Crest Venue’s large rustic ballroom. The ballroom has large windows & tall ceiling that allowed for plenty of light & has a large staircase at the back of the room that acted as a focal piece for the couple's entry. The room itself was filled with a mixture of round and long tables, each with a float frame table number with copper hand-drawn calligraphy on black linen paper. The head table was placed in front of the fireplace and was adorned with a lush floral garland on a mauve runner, with black tapered candles. The surrounding reception tables had grey linens, brown chivari chairs, moody & romantic floral centerpieces filled with black, purple, white & mauve flowers, black chargers, copper wax seal menu’s, copper silverware and grey napkins.
As the night went on, the guests danced to music from a forerunner entertainment that kept everyone on the dance floor the entire evening. And as the couple exited their reception, each guest held sparklers as they walked down out Stone Crest Venue front doors into their exit car. It was honestly such a beautiful and fun night, and I am so happy how it turned out! Congratulations ya’ll!! -Shannon
