Castle at Rockwall Wedding in Rockwall TX | Katie & Stephen

Katie and Stephen hired me to design and plan their November nuptials just four months before the big day, and I am still in love with how it turned out! First off I have to say these two were just so cute right from the start, and they both just radiated with excitement every time I saw them!  Katie said all she wanted was to have a wedding with the color Marsala that was also elegant and she left the rest up to me.

With just four months to plan, the first thing on our list was to find a venue and set a date, and we were so blessed to have found the Castle at Rockwall which at the time has just opened.  It created the perfect backdrop with it’s tall vaulted ceilings and gorgeous landscaping!

CASTLE AT ROCKWALL CEREMONY

The bride and groom got married in the great room of The Castle at Rockwall in front of the fireplace that was decorated with a floral garland and candles on the mantel and around the hearth. It created the perfect romantic backdrop for the ceremony!

After the ceremony as the couple took pictures, guest placed their best wishes for the couple in bride and groom piñatas and enjoyed drinks at the venue’s bar.

CASTLE AT ROCKWALL RECEPTION

The reception was held in both the great room and the banquet hall of the Castle at Rockwall.  In the banquet room we set up tables in an “X” style format, which helped save on the cost of flowers, and also allowed guests to walk throughout the space easily.  We then placed round tables around the dance floor in the Great Hall and the sweetheart table in front of the candlelit fireplace.  Each place setting had a gold charger, menu, and marsala velvet ribbon, which added the perfect touch of color to the reception’s white tables.

As the night went on the guests danced the night away with music from Everlasting Sounds that kept everyone on the dance floor the entire evening, and when it was time to leave guests held LED balloons and the bride and groom kiss under a tunnel of lit-a-loons.  It was the perfect end to a beautiful and fun night!

Congratulations you two!-Shannon
