Dove Ridge Vineyard Colorful Wedding | Brooke & Jeffrey

I love color and when my couples embrace it as much as I do.

Brooke and Jeffrey's wedding is a great example of this! They originally wanted a lavender and dusty blue color scheme, but as I got to know them and their overall style, I felt that the color scheme needed to be more colorful than what she initially anticipated to truly reflect her in the design. As a result, we kept the blue as the neutral but used accents of purple, fuchsia, lavender, and peach throughout the florals, which made this wedding come to life!

Through our conversations, I also learned how much Brooke loved the outdoors and how she wanted to incorporate it into her wedding. The only challenge was that her wedding was going to be in January. As a result, I felt that we needed to find a space that could reflect her love of the outdoors from the indoors. This would allow guests to stay warm and comfortable if it was cold outside (Which, as you know in Texas, you really NEVER KNOW what God has planned lol). As a result, I came to the conclusion that it was essential to bring multiple organic elements throughout the design and knew we needed to find a venue with plenty of windows and a great view to match. As we looked at spaces, Dove Ridge Vineyard felt that like the perfect fit. Not only did it have large windows that completely encircle the space, but it also had the most breathtaking view that makes you feel like you are in the hill country.

DOVE RIDGE VINEYARD-CEREMONY

Brooke and Jeffrey got married at an outdoor ceremony held on the point surrounded by hills and flowers. Even though we planned for the cold, their wedding day was on one of the prettiest January days I have ever seen. And believe me when I say we were more than grateful! At the altar, a floral halo encircled the couple with fuchsia, white, peach & blue flowers, and Wedfully Yours created flower arrangements in white boxes that lined the aisle as Brooke walked down to see Jeffrey for the first time. Just in case guests got chilly during the ceremony Brooke’s grandmother put together blankets for guests at the aisle entry to keep themselves warm and cozy.

After the ceremony, as the couple took pictures with their families, the guests walked around Dove Ridge Vineyard’s property for cocktail hour. They then found their seats at a long table with folded escort cards that were placed on a velvet linen with bright colored flowers.

DOVE RIDGE VINEYARD-RECEPTION

As guests entered the reception, they found their seat in Dove Ridge Vineyard’s large ballroom that was filled with round tables, each with a float frame table number. The head table was placed in the center of the room and had a large overhanging floral structure and lush loose floral garland at the base that was filled with purple, peach, fuchsia and white flowers, pressed wax seal floral escort cards, and navy menus. I wanted it to not only make Brooke feel like she was in the middle of a garden but make it a statement piece that guests could experience throughout the evening. So I decided to place the head table not only in the center of the room, but also directly in front of the dance floor. This helped create a perfect background during dancing and toasts.

As the night went on the guests enjoyed an Italian food buffet (Jeffrey and Brooke’s FAVORITE type of food!) and enjoyed a cake cutting in what looked like a field of flowers. The cake was made with Brooke’s favorite flavor (Tres Leche!!) and Jeffrey’s family made a special groom’s cake and sugar cookies for guests to enjoy throughout the night. This Dove Ridge Vineyard wedding was filled with so many fun moments, and I can't say enough how grateful I was to get to know them both and be apart of such a fantastic day! -Shannon
