My name is Shannon and I am the Owner + Creative Director of Shannon Rose Events, a wedding planning and design company, based in Fort Worth, TX that services Fort Worth, Dallas, and event Austin TX.
That’s me right here! I am one of those people that believe anything is possible if you put your mind to it! And in 2010 I decided owning my own Event Design & Coordination company was something I wanted to do, and so I did it! I saved up money working as a job captain at an architecture firm for 3 years and in July of 2014 we officially opened! Can’t believe its already been two and half years.
I am known by my clients for not only my obsession with lists, constant organization, and love of design, but my goofy and outgoing personality. I believe that weddings are a fun and exciting event, so I want the wedding planning process to be the same. There are two things you should know about me: One I am kind of “crazy” when it comes to getting to organizing anything (Like seriously it’s a problem! For thanksgiving I even made a timeline and my husband and friends made fun of me for a few days), and two I LOVE chips & queso and tacos. We might end up having a meeting that involves one or both them because we are in Texas and that is just what us Texans do!!
One of my favorite things about my job is getting to know the couples. Its sounds so cheezy, but I am constantly honored that couples would choose me to be such a big part of one of the biggest days of their lives, and somehow I have been so lucky to have so many amazing clients. Every vendor I work with constantly compliments us by saying we honestly have the BEST clients, and I defiantly can’t argue with that!
One goal I had from the beginning was to make sure each couple feels like they are not only listened to but genuinely cared about. I never want anyone to feel like another number! I make a large effort to get to know each couple and what makes them “them”. And I think this is one reason I am easily able to capture each couple’s unique essence in the overall design of their big day. I guess you could say I don’t have a specific style, and my work constantly varies from formal to rustic to modern to even organic, and I honestly love this! I love that not only each wedding is so different, but also that I am constantly being challenged. I love coming up with different ideas that they might not of even thought of!
I am honestly so excited for what is to come this coming year, and I love that I finally have a brand that reflects us as a company! Today is the launch of our new website (isn’t it PRETTY!?1?1?) feel free to look around and tell us what you think!.
It is just one of the exciting things going on this year, so keep your eye out for upcoming announcements ;)! So far in January we were already featured in not one but two magazines (Brides of North Texas & 360 West Magazine, and we have one blog feature with Knotsvilla!! WOW can’t even believe that this is my job and that I get to do what I love. Look forward to getting to know ya’ll and here is to an awesome 2017!!
