The Ridglea Theater Wedding in Fort Worth TX | Wes Anderson Wedding | Kirsten & Shane

Kirsten & Shane’s Wes Anderson "The Grand Budapest Hotel" themed nuptials at the Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth TX, was by far one of the most unique events I have designed and planned.  Not only was it filled with unique design elements, but it felt like such an honor since Shane is a wedding videographer who works with some the best wedding vendors in DFW and beyond.

When we began to discuss their vision for their big day, they wanted it to be a reflection of their favorite director's, Wes Anderson, films.  As a result, the Ridglea Theater seemed like the perfect fit, whose architecture is reminiscent of the movie “The Grand Budapest Hotel”.  “The venue itself had so much character, and we loved the idea of getting married in a theater!” says Kirsten.

THE RIDGLEA THEATER - CEREMONY

Kirsten & Shane’s ceremony was held on the Ridglea Theater's stage, and a large gold ornate frame with chiffon fabric served as the ceremony archway. When guests entered, they were greeted with popcorn in containers that also served as a program! The ceremony was not only beautiful, but was also filled with plenty of funny and emotional moments, and left guests with plenty of happy tears!  “One of the most memorable moments of the night for me, was when I saw Shane for the first time.” Says Kirsten.

After the ceremony, as the couple took pictures with their families, the guests enjoyed drinks in the main lobby and found their tables at the large gold-framed seating chart. The seating chart had tags that were attached to keys that were also bottle openers, which noted which room number they would be seated at.

THE RIDGLEA THEATER - RECEPTION

The reception was held inside the theater, and each table had wooden table numbers with oval numbers attached, and similar to hotel room numbers.  The head table was located in the middle of the room, and had a mixture of medium-sized arrangements, pillar candlesticks, and blue vintage goblets!  Each guest tables had ivory linens, colorful floral centerpieces in gold vases, gold chargers, and slate blue napkins.

As the night went on the guests danced to music from ALL Access DJ, that kept everyone entertained throughout the night, and when it was time to leave guests held sparklers while the bride and groom kissed under the theater marquee.  It was such an awesome and fun night!! And we were so grateful to be apart of it!

Congrats ya'll!-Shannon
