It is a workshop hosted by Ellen Ashton Photography & Kate Elizabeth Photography for photographers looking to not only improve their portfolio, style & overall work, but also to connect with others in their industry. Last month we were asked to design the Nest at Ruth Farm’s open house, and we could not be more excited with how it turned out! We wanted to showcase how the venue can be brought to life with using color, fun patterns, and unique experiences in food, music & even seating areas. The event definitely got us in the mood for Spring & I am finding myself being a little impatient for it to come :P. Kelly & John’s unique winter wedding at Brik Venue was a standout this year. It was the perfect mix of an elegant & comfortable atmosphere, that made guests feel at ease throughout the night. Its unique orange & mauve color scheme, that was a homage to Kelly & John’s favorite football team (Texas Longhorns & Auburn Tigers), mid century modern details, & lush colorful flowers made it a wedding you definitely will want to see more of! Candace & Beau’s wedding at the Addison Grove in Austin TX was one of those weddings that came together so easily! The couple who were genuine and laid back wanted a wedding to reflect their personality and love of their home state.   The words organic, timeless, boho & rustic were used throughout the design & planning process and can easily be seen in each detail throughout their big day. From beer burros, lush florals,  longhorns, and a dessert spread that would make anyone excited; it was a night that was not only fun but made guests feel at home.

Caitlin & Grant’s wedding at the Nest at Ruth Farms this year was filled with all the romantic details that this planner craves! A couple of months ago I designed and planned a styled shoot in Charleston South Carolina at Boone Hall Plantation, and it passed even my wildest expectations!
